I am a native of Hibbing, MN, and currently reside in Hermantown, MN, with my wife Nicole and my two children, Quinn and Piper.
I obtained my B.S. degree from the University of St. Thomas. After spending a couple of years in the workforce, I obtained my J.D. from Rutgers School of Law in New Jersey, where I graduated with honors (top 10% of my class). I started my legal career at the Michigan Court of Appeals, where I clerked for the Honorable Christopher M. Murray, assisting the Court with writing hundreds of opinions in criminal and civil matters.
I returned to Northeast Minnesota in 2010, working at Johnson, Killen & Seiler, P.A. before joining my current firm Thibodeau, Johnson & Feriancek (d/b/a Trial Group North) about six years ago (the last 3.5 of which I have been a partner).
I primarily practice civil litigation defense work, defending insured businesses in personal injury matters, employment law matters, product liability matters, and real estate disputes.
I am proud to support my community in as many ways as possible. I currently coach a youth soccer team and am a board member of the Hermantown Youth Soccer Association (sitting as past president). I previously served a six year term as an investigator for the 11th District Ethics Committee. Additionally, I was previously the Board Chair for the Volunteer Attorney Program, a board member of Udac (committee chair), and past president of the 11th District New Lawyers Section. I have done volunteer legal work for the Volunteer Attorney Program, the Children's Law Center and the Public Defender's office.
I humbly ask for your support in the primary election on August 13, 2024. I hope to have the opportunity to serve all citizens of the Sixth Judicial District (St. Louis County, Carlton County, Cook County and Lake County) for years to come.
